WHO WE SUPPORT
Every family has a story. Yours matters.
Our intended focus is children and youth under 16 and their caregivers, especially families involved with—or at risk of—child welfare intervention.
- Children and youth who have experienced trauma or loss
- Young people with developmental or neurodiverse needs
- Foster, kinship and adoptive families
- Caregivers experiencing stress or burnout

How We Help Families
Every family's story is different. Here are a few examples of situations where Mercy Youth Respite can offer meaningful, trauma-informed support.

Caregivers Needing a Pause
A foster or kinship caregiver supporting a child with complex needs may be running on empty. Planned respite gives them time to rest and recharge, while their child enjoys a safe, nurturing stay with caring professionals.

Youth Healing from Trauma
A young person navigating the effects of trauma may need extra stability during a difficult season. Our team provides consistent, compassionate care that helps them feel secure, while the family gains space to reconnect and heal.
