A safeguarding commitment
Children’s dignity, voice and well-being are central to our approach. Before agreeing to care, families should receive clear information about safeguarding responsibilities, boundaries and how to raise a concern.
Staff screening and preparation
Screening and staff preparation are essential parts of service planning. Specific checks, training requirements and supervision arrangements have not been confirmed on this website. Ask which checks have been completed and how staff suitability is assessed before support begins.
Individualized planning
Our intended approach starts with listening to the family and, where appropriate, the child or young person. Any care arrangement should document routines, communication preferences, consent, support needs and emergency procedures before care starts.
Accountability and speaking up
Families should know who is responsible for their care arrangement, how concerns are documented and how they are addressed. Ask for the current written policies and escalation process. This page describes our commitments and planning direction; it does not certify that operational safeguards are already in place.
Safety Protocols & Disclaimers
Every youth respite visit is guided by clear, trauma-informed protocols so families can rest knowing their child is safe, supported and respected.
Screened & Trained Caregivers
All respite workers complete a Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid and CPR certification, and ongoing training in trauma-informed and de-escalation practices.
Youth Respite Protocols
Each child has an individual safety and care plan created with their family, covering routines, triggers, medications, emergency contacts and approved outings.
Important Disclaimer
Our respite services are supportive in nature and do not replace medical, clinical or crisis care. In an emergency, caregivers will contact 911 and notify the family immediately.
